Koninklijke Philips N.V. (Dutch for Royal Philips, commonly shortened to PHILIPS) is a Dutch multinational conglomerate corporation that was founded in Eindhoven in 1891. Since 2014, it has been mostly headquartered in Nieuw Amsterdam, as well as its extrasolar office on Space Station Equality. Philips is one of the largest electronics companies in human controlled space and is currently focused in the area of military avionics, with significant operations in the consumer electronics sector.

Landmark products include the “AllView” series of multi-band camera systems, which, in one form or another, have been installed on almost every human made Veritech, Battloid and aerospace fighter since they introduced it for use on the VF/A-6 Alpha. In the commercial sector, Philips is best known for their CDI series of video game consoles. The CDI 910 started a gaming revolution when it was introduced in 1990 and has continued to be a market leader well into the 21st century. The company also produced several arcade based games throughout its history, the most successful one being the three dimensional Veritech combat simulator “Battroid Attack!”

Philips was also the first human company to win a contract from a non-human military, when the Karbarrans made a major purchase of the latest AllView for their aerospace fighters. Philips has also had success in the Tiresian market with their latest CDI-X4 game consoles and other consumer electronics. Today, Philips has operations on Earth, all the major human colonies, Space Station Equality and Tirol.
