GBP-1S Armored Valkyrie color plates.
The standard paint scheme (first illustration) for the GBP-1S armor system is demonstrated here with this VF-1A finished in standard tan and white with the armor components finished in dark gray with light gray trim. Typically, the GBP/PWS-01C chest missile doors and the “cuffs” of the GBP/PWS-01A arm components were finished the squadron’s colors. Other paint schemes (following illustrations) were non-standard.
Note: These illustrations are slightly inaccurate, as they depict late production VF-1 Valkyries where early production examples would have been more appropriate.
