2S1 Gvozdika 122mm Self-propelled Howitzer

The 2S1 Gvozdika (Гвоздика) wa an EBSIS 122-mm self-propelled howitzer that resembled the PT-76, but was essentially a lengthened version of the MT-LB APC, mounting the 2A18 howitzer. “2S1” was its Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) designation. The alternative Russian designation was SAU-122, but in the Soviet Army it is commonly known as Gvozdika (Carnation). The 2S1 was fully amphibious with very little preparation, and once afloat it was propelled by its tracks.
